So in case you haven’t met… please let me introduce you to one of my main gals, Wanda. She’s a Corgi-Shepherd mix my husband adopted from the Humane Society almost 8 years ago. I honestly don’t understand what kind of horrible soulless person could have given her up, the very thought that they are walking around somewhere makes me nervous. She’s the sweetest girl in the world! All she wants to do is cuddle which is great almost always… except for the hair. Wanda sheds SO MUCH. As a result we just can’t let her on the bed. We’re eating her hairs as much as we can take.
So Wanda has her own bed… a gross shapeless grey blob she’s had forever, which I’ve tolerated for convenience sake, but since I’ve been trying to spruce up our bedroom it’s reached the point where it’s got to go.
I’ve been Pet Bed Shopping on line the last few days, and can I just say: IF you or any of your loved ones are ever having a bad day, just head over to overstock.com or a similar site and browse through their pet beds. Not only is it absolutely adorable but It’s also HILARIOUS!
The dogs are the best part for sure… Most beds I’ve seen in the past are almost all lacking style. Searching a little deeper into the interweb pulled out some real beauties I never expected!
So without further ado, here are some beds I’ve found that are surprisingly beautiful: (click images for links)
I love the soft patterns and colors and shapes. All these beds are so sweet and calm and would fit in a stylin’ contemporary home.
Here are some that have a bit more fun and quirk:
That full pink fur one kills me. I want to design a room just around that dog bed. I also wish Wanda was small enough to crawl into the pineapple and the felt bed with ears.
Last but not least here are a couple gratuitous goofy dog shots.
Why did they have to stack the beds?! Also I totally know how that poor guy in the sweater feels at the end of the day, and it looks like they gave up even trying to get the little white dog on the leather couch bed and just held a treat up to make him stand behind it.
I’m not sure which one I’m gonna end up grabbing. I have a few other decisions to make about the room before that, but I’m happy to have found some with design to restore my faith in dog bed makers.
What do you do to incorporate your pet space into your design aesthetic?
